Q1. What is agentic commerce?

Agentic commerce is commerce where the buyer is software. An AI agent discovers a product or service, decides to buy it, and pays for it, with no person at the checkout. What separates it from ordinary automation is that the agent chooses. That is also what makes authorization the hard part: someone has to decide in advance what the agent may spend, and something has to check that before the money moves.

Agentic payments are payments initiated by an AI agent rather than a person. The agent is delegated spending authority, discovers a priced service, and settles per call rather than per invoice.
